ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE: PART 4- WE BROKE THE SLINGSHOT!

So, I know I've not been keeping up the blog, but I've been super, super busy!
On top of boarding like crazy on Despicable Me 3, I was also freelancing for some former Dreamworks colleagues who have a really fun independent animated feature in development.

But, now I'm back to just one full-time job with Gru and company, so lets get to posting.

When we last left those angry Angry Birds things weren't going terribly well.  The pig air force had launched it's counter attack and the bird were in retreat, but maybe they've got a shot to turn the tide and maybe not....

This will wrap up this sequence, but I've got a few more from Angry Birds and still got to get to my Secret Life of Pets boards, cause come next summer I'll have enough boards from Despicable 3 to post for years, so lets get to it.

SHARON COLMAN'S NEW SHORT FILM ON KICKSTARTER!!!

The immensely talented and Academy Award nominated filmmaker, Sharon Colman has only 1 week left to fund her new short film on Kickstarter and she needs your help!

I've worked with Sharon while we were both at Dreamworks and found her to have one of the most unique sensibilities working in animation today.

Her style and tone are sweet, thoughtful, emotional and funny.  Her designs are simple and stunning.

Here's the link to her Kickstarter page:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/857084756/roamin-an-animated-short-film

She needs to raise an additional $4000 in the next 7days, so if you have even $10 to donate to this exciting new project, please have a look and consider being a part of funding her new film.

Artist funded films are a fantastic way to keep the unique voices of our industry able to produce works that would otherwise not find a path to being created.

And with an Academy Award nomination behind her, Sharon has proven to be one that has the goods!

Thanks!

ME AND DOLLY PARTON!!!

So, I've been terrible about keeping this blog updated, but it's only cause lots of good stuff's been going on.

Got married at the end of June, been working like crazy on Despicable Me 3, took on additional freelance boarding for some former Dreamworks colleagues on an independent animated feature and.......drum roll...........

I met DOLLY PARTON!!!!!!!!!  In person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite singer since I was a kid, it was one of the most surreal moments of my life.  And she was just as sweet and funny as you could have hoped.  Then we, my husband and I were front row for her performance at the Hollywood Bowl!  A-MAZING!

If you're not familiar with Dolly and her brilliant catalogue of work, just google her or check out her 50 years worth of songs on iTunes.  A true American original and unbelievable success story.

And, now that things are settling down, I'll get back to posting all the boards from Angry Birds and Secret Life of Pets.

Thanks for still checking in!
